Skin diseases are often linked to a pro-inflammatory state. For example, IL-8 is related to the severity of atopic dermatitis (Murata S. et al., 2021) and TNF-α is the master cytokine regulator in psoriasis or contact dermatitis (Banno T., et al. 2004).
Given the anti-inflammatory ability of multi FEEL® extracts, we evaluated the in vitro production of both IL-8 and TNF-α on LPS-stimulated keratinocytes treated with different doses of multi FEEL®.
We found that 1.0% and 1.5% multi FEEL® significantly decreases of IL-8 and TNF-α production in keratinocytes stimulated with LPS. (**p<0.01)
This in vivo study shows multi FEEL® efficacy on subjects with hands irritative dermatitis. Daily application of 2% multi FEEL® significantly increases hydration and improves TEWL (Trans Epidermal Water Loss) as well as erythema. In particular, LONG-TERM efficacy proves the beneficial effects of multi FEEL® functional ingredients.
multi FEEL® is a source of natural anti-oxidants. For this reason, we evaluated its efficacy in preventing the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), mainly responsible of skin aging.
We found that 0.17% and 0.5% multi FEEL® (TS) significantly reduced ROS after 2 and 4 minutes of UV exposure and 1.5% multi FEEL® for all times of UV exposure.
multi FEEL® reduces SDS-induced erythema proving its SHORT-TERM (after a single application) efficacy.
